Business Broadband – What Should Your Requirements Be

The first and maybe most important is the internet speed you will receive. There is no point paying for a broadband package if the speed is not quick enough to allow you to complete tasks in an efficient manner. Look for speeds of around 2Mb as a minimum but 8Mb or 16Mb are often more suitable for an online company. You can find speeds up to 24Mb so consider your usage and reliance and go from there.

Broadband speeds can be affected by a number of factors but the main one is the amount of people accessing the internet at the same time, this would obviously slow the broadband speed down. This is called the ‘contention ratio’ and it is worth checking this before signing up as the higher the value, the slower the speed is likely to be.
